"Beat the Heat" - New Kent Visitor's Center - B Pace

Beat the Heat Saturday Morning Ride.
Start at the New Kent Visitor's Center (about a mile south of the winery). The route offers about 1,300 feet of climbing, with the steepest climb at 7% for about three-tenths of a mile. We will aim for an upper-half B pace (15.5 mph) as the final MOVING average. For B riders, that means we'll be going fast downhill to make up for the slow climbing. On the flats, we will roll at about 16 mph.
Post-ride food and beverage options include the New Kent Winery and Indian Field Tavern or Cul's Courthouse Grille in/near Charles City.
If the weather forecast is iffy, WAB will try to make a go/no go decision on Friday evening.
